What We Need

There are a few key areas where need help resources-wise:

1. ✏️ Writers Room: We need a consistent stream of ideas coming through that we can turn into scripts, so we’re looking for writers/comedians/whoever has a voice and can contribute good and funny thoughts.
   *Primary emphasis on getting out the vote instead of just humiliating the Trump administration. They can do that on their own.

2. 💡 Idea Structuring: We need help turning the most promising raw ideas into actual commercial scripts that can be passed to our production team, and figuring out what video assets we need to pass to them as well. Specifically looking for writers here.

3. 🔬 Researchers: We need a few people to help us with compiling news footage, hypocritical statements, etc. to make our content as persuasive as possible.

4. 💰 Production Budget: Right now this is strictly a volunteer affair, but 💸💸💸 makes it a lot easier to get stuff done. If you have funds you want to donate or can connect us with anyone who would be down to contribute, that’d be amazing.

5. 🎞 Editing Time: If you or any editors you know are down to donate hours to get these put together, that would also be VERY much appreciated.

6. 🎙 Narration: If you or anyone you know has a great narration voice, we’re going to need some really solid voiceovers.

Make Content for Us!

So you want to contribute some content to unfuck the country, eh? We’d love your submissions!

Just a few housekeeping matters we need you to address so that we can get your content up and into the zeitgeist 👍🏾

Format

Each video needs to be under 60 seconds. You should really shoot for under 30 if you can swing it, but definitely no longer than 60.

Under the hood, all of our videos have a straightforward structure to keep the message tight.

3. Unfuck yourself by voting early

You can be as free as you want with the actual format, but structurally any video we post should be able to be broken down into these beats. If you can distill your message this clearly, you’ll hit the target with the audience 🎯

Tone

• Keep it accessible
  • The most important part of a video is that you make the audience FEEL they’re getting fucked.
  • We know that issues are complex and can’t be fully explained in 45 seconds, so think of the video as a teaser trailer. We like to save the academic explanations for the website.
• Try not to attack other groups or make people feel stupid
  • People get defensive when attacked, and many politicians have exploited our psychology to polarize us. At the end of the day we all want a better country, so let’s keep our attacks focused on the system and not its victims.
  • Tempting as it may be, please leave the personal attacks against Trump for the Lincoln Project. This conversation isn’t about him. It’s about teaching people that when we stay home and don’t vote, we’re implicitly granting permission to continue fucking the country.
